The set looks great, especially once on my wife's bike. However the rear mud guard is held onto the seat post mount by a thumb tightened screw. On our first ride with the guard fitted to the bike, the screw worked loose and the mud guard fell off never to be seen again. I guess this is partially my fault, I can't have tightened the screw enough, but I'd be reluctant to buy a replacement which is a shame because the mud guards are well built, have a well designed seat post mount and seems good quality overall.

For the price, this is a great solution to add fenders to my road bike. The front fender installation was easy and adaptable using the rubber bands. While the rear fender was also easy to install, it came apart while on my car bike rack while traveling and I lost it. It came apart where the fender bolts to the seat stem mount. They need to figure out a better solution to keep the parts together.

Firstly, I want to point out that I love the elegance and design of the fenders and I am glad to test it out personally to find that it definitely protects me from spray. I mentioned the key to your gratification and happiness as in proper installation. The manual or whatever they provide lacks a whole lot of information that I hope that I'm able to provide in this review to help others attain my level of satisfaction. The guide suggests the rear fender be mounted to the seatpost bar. My first photo with the tattered red handlebar wrap shows my placing it on the seatpost bar. Looks nice but when I tested it out by wearing all white it was a fail because the rear fender was placed too far away from the rear tires. I had to install the rear fender on the frame as evidenced in the second photo. The second photo shows my bike with a new black handlebar wrap. As evidence in the photos I was aiming to keep a streamline straight profile with the rear fender. I had hoped the distance was close enough as I wouldn't be able to achieve my streamlined look like in the promotion photos. I'm happy to report in the next rainy bike ride I have on white pants with a light blue t-shirt and found that I was free of road splatter. Reviewing the front fender I found myself free of mud splatter. By the way this is why I wore white and or light colors, to prove that the fenders worked by not having mud splatter on my clothes. I naturally avoid puddles of I'm safely able to do so, but I may do a follow up to see how dry the fender keeps much of my body and parts going through puddles. In conclusion I'm very happy with this product and I highly recommend. My main complaints is there is so little information on installation variations like using the bike frame instead of the seatpost. Secure tight installation and placement is key. *** (Updated July 17, 2023) I ran my bike through many puddles deep and long and I'm happy to report no splatter on my clothes. It has been two weeks since I've had these fenders and I am happy to report that they are worth every penny. I repeat installation is key. When I purchase another bike for my son for his gift for starting his college journey as a freshman this fall, I'll purchase these fenders for that bike and include an installation video. I may go over with my current bike as well if I find I had to use another method.
