I picked up the Popuppe 2 PCS mountain bike mudguard set to fit onto my trail bike ahead of winter riding, and they've performed really well across varied terrain and weather. For such a lightweight and budget-friendly set, the durability and coverage are genuinely impressive. The set includes both front and rear mudguards made from a flexible but tough plastic. Straight out of the packaging, they have a bit of give, but once mounted properly, they hold shape and stay in place even through rough, bumpy trails. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now on everything from gravel paths to proper muddy singletrack, and they’ve made a real difference to how much muck ends up on me and the bike. Installation is straightforward — you get cable ties included, and the guards have a series of pre-cut slots so they can be mounted in various ways depending on your fork and frame setup. I fitted the front one to my suspension fork arch, and the rear under the seat stays. Both were on and secure in under 15 minutes with a bit of adjustment. They’re also compatible with a wide range of bikes — I tested them on both my 29er MTB and a 27.5" hardtail, and with some slight repositioning, they fit fine on both. You may need to trim the cable ties or swap them out if you're picky about neatness, but that's a minor thing. In terms of performance, they offer excellent protection. The front guard does a good job of deflecting spray away from your face, especially when descending fast, and the rear keeps that dreaded mud streak off your back. They don’t eliminate all splatter (no mudguard ever does), but they drastically reduce it and keep more grit off the drivetrain too. Weight is negligible — you won’t notice them while riding, and they don’t interfere with handling or movement at all. They also don’t rattle or flap about like some cheaper alternatives. One small tip: after a few muddy rides, it’s worth removing and rinsing them down. They clean up easily, and doing so prevents any grit from working its way under the mounting points. Overall, a solid, no-nonsense mudguard set that delivers excellent value and reliable protection. If you ride through the British winter or tackle messy trails, these are well worth fitting. Exactly what I was hoping for. The whole idea of this kit is that with a pair of scissors you can trim these mudguards to the shape that fits your bike. They only fully punch out the most Lilley holes you need and leave the other holes only partially punched out so you can easily use those holes if you need them but leave them covered if you don’t. You may need to be the sort of person who is relatively practical to find this easy, however.

Not sure these are actually carbon fibre tbh but I don't think it really matters as they are so light weight and really quite tough. Easy to fit and the cable ties supplied and pretty good quality and sturdy. Great that they attach to the forks at the back instead of the bike stem so don't get in the way of lights that you may want to strap to the stem instead. Also, fit nicely to the brake calipers on the front so you get a got close fit to the wheel. Well worth the money
